Bowling Green State University VS Michigan – 21-65 – The Michigan squad was able to win their game against BGSI today, but unfortunately lost their star quarterback Denard Robinson to injury in the game. He led Michigan to wins in his first three starts, but unfortunately twisted his knee in the first quarter of the game and was unable to return throughout. Michigan, who is ranked number 21 in the nation at this time, was able to handedly beat Bowling Green University, 65-21.

The backup quarterback, Tate Forcier started last season ahead of Robinson, and was also forced to leave the game after injuring his knee in the fourth quarter. The team has now won each of their first four games but has some of their toughest matches still ahead of them.

Bowling Green, who has only won one game this season, gave up 21 points to Michigan in the first quarter, effectively sealing their fate from there on out. Forcier helped the Wolverines turn the game into a rout. He was able to complete all twelve of the passes that he threw for 110 yards and one touchdown.

With injuries to both of their first string quarterbacks, the team was forced to play freshman quarterback Devin Gardner. All three of them played very well in the win, but it is unfortunate that the team was forced to play the third string quarterback during a year when they were hoping that he could take his time and learn from the bench.
