Caroline Wozniacki recently took down the Russian champion Svetlana Kuznetsova in a match that ended with a 6-1-6-3 score.

It was the last match in the Dubai championship which took place on Sunday and audience members certainly got the entertainment they came for.

Although Wozniacki had never made it past the third round of any match before, she still managed to beat her Russian opponent on Sunday, stunning those who were watching.

She now has her 13th title in her career which she seems extremely proud of. When she took down Shahar Peer in the quarter finals she was able to gain back the ranking which she had previously lost to Kim Clijsters just one week before, a defeat which she seemed to bounce back from rather quickly.

Wozniacki said that it felt extremely good to defeat Kuznetsova in the ring and is immensely proud of her victory which has officially put her back on top in every way imaginable.

Although it didn’t look good at the beginning of the fight, it suddenly started to turn in her favor when she eventually took down her opponent. Kuznetsova made a series of mistakes, including underestimating Wozniacki who had more fight in her than most believed.
