Greg Cassel:Matt Cassel Father Dead – Matt Cassel of the New England Patriots had to leave his team after learning that his father Greg Cassel had passed away.Coach Bill Belichick said before practice:
“Our thoughts are with him and his family during this time,” Right now we’re just taking it day to day. He’s going to take care of what he has to do.”
Belichick added that he didn’t know whether or not Cassel would be able to start Sunday against the Oakland Raiders.
