Pocono Raceway:Greg Biffle Wins – The Pocono Raceway will be hosting its second race of the year today, but racers will have to deal with weather that has not been cooperating so far. While many were hoping for clear skies, it now appears that the weather will remain overcast all day. The possibility of rain is present, but it is very unlikely that the race track will receive any precipitation today. There was a fair amount of rain earlier in the day, but the track has been dried throughout the day in preparation for the Pennsylvania 500. When the race starts, Tony Stewart will be on the pole, with Juan Montoya starting in the second position.
It has been quite some time since the raceway held a NASCAR race. The last time was when Denny Hamlin won the Gillette Fusion ProGlide 500. Representatives for the track have said that they believe that the race will start on time, assuming that they are able to get the race track completely dried off.

Safety has been a major problem on the track, mostly due to its unique triangle design. Experts are hoping that the rain will not make the safety problems that the track has had in the past any worse. Debate is still ongoing about whether or not to put a catch fence in front of the trees that surround the course as well. None of the changes that are being discussed would be put into place until next year at the very earliest.

Update:

Despite the fact that everything went wrong on the Pennsylvanian tracks thanks to the bad weather, Greg Biffle and his Ford got an emotional first victory that was dedicated to the team’s owner Jack Roush who is hospitalized with injuries after a plane crash.
Biffle said after winning,“This one’s for Jack!”
