It may be time to kiss Tiger Woods goodbye as he’s been upstaged by 21 year old Rory McIlroy.

McIlroy is now 2 under 70 giving him a four shot lead moving into the final round of the Masters Tournament at Augusta, Georgia.

McIlroy’s achievement puts him at the biggest 54 hole lead since Woods had the eight stroke lead back in 1997.

That brings McIlroy at 12 under 204 and he’ll be playing in the final round with Angel Cabrera the winner of the tournament back in 2009.

This change in the world of golf means that Woods is out of the picture for now and that puts a brutal damper on Tiger’s dreams of the green jacket this year and perhaps from now on.

McIlroy’s fans are cheering as he’s making history and a name for himself even if he loses the final round. He’s now the young star of the golfing world and may well be the vanguard on the new wave of golfers coming up.

The sports endorsement companies are hovering like vultures about now as they know they have to snag up the next big star in golf and if it’s McIlroy he’s on his way to fame and fortune and shouldn’t be worried about money for the rest of his life.
