Stephen Jacksons Wife Renata Robbed – NBA player Stephen Jackson’s wife Renata was robbed at gunpoint by three masked men, according to a number of recent reports. The men broke into the Charlotte Bobcats player’s home and held his wife at gunpoint before they locked her in the bathroom. They broke into the home, which is located in a gated community which features over 24 multi-million dollar homes. It was not immediately clear if they knew whose house it was or not.

At the time, Jackson was in Texas for a basketball camp. Renata was not harmed in the ordeal, but was mentally shaken up. Police have made no arrests as of yet, but are actively investigating the incident. They also have not released any additional details regarding the investigation.

Jackson is a talented shooting guard who helped his team to their first playoff appearance last spring. The home is reportedly worth around $1.7 million, according to public records, and the couple has lived in the home since last December. The couple had been in Charlotte since November, after the team acquired his rights in a trade with the Golden State Warriors.
It will be interesting to find out if those responsible purposely targeted his house, or if it was completely random and they were just looking for an up-scale house to ransack. The 6,300 square foot home has three garages, and is actually owned by Jason Richardson, a former guard for the Bobcats who was traded to the Phoenix Suns during the 2008-2009 season.
